| - Originally, we were planning to visit the place next door, but it was too crowded, so we ended up here instead. The literal translation of this place is Yunnan Crossing-the-bridge Noodles. The place was just mostly filled when we arrived, but filled up quick shortly after we sat down.
We got a variety of dishes of just the two of us, starting with Spicy Fish & Tofu, it was just ok spicy, and the broth was a bit too soupy for some reason when compared to other pictures that were posted here. The flavor was a bit bland overall. The Spicy Lamb Chop a disaster, might as well call it lamb bones instead, as there was not a single piece of lamb meat it, and the dish was a bit salty too.
As for noodles, I went with Braised Beef Noodles, it had a few pieces of beef stew in it and a few beef tendon, a nice warm bowl of noodles. Yunnan Crossing-the-bridge Noodles is really similar to dipping ramen, except the noodles and broth were already together, noodles are Chinese rice noodles, and only the ingredients come separated. You can throw everything in there, just a few things, or even none. It was pretty good as well. I guess they did not have much option to customize here like other places I visited.
If I come to Yunnan Garden again, I would just stick with noodles, since their other dishes here are just not up to par with restaurants in this area. Service was provided by your typical Asian poker face servers like most Asian restaurants.
