  • Our A/C went out in the middle of the night Sunday morning, we opened a claim with our home warranty company American Shield at 5:30 AM. They provided an alleged 24 hour hotline phone number for Arizona Trade Morons, oh excuse me, Trade Masters. We left three messages throughout the day and no return call or communication. I called them again today and they were rude and curt, they refused to give me any information, refused to look up our claim number, and only advised me that someone would be in touch within the next four hours. Meanwhile it is 106 outside and 92 in the house. When they finally returned the call they advised me it would be FOUR DAYS until they could come to service our A/C! The secretary was not only rude but very unprofessional, I was irritated but told her to keep the scheduled service date in the case that we would not be able to find anything sooner. Her reply was, "Fine, I will cancel your service date and close the request". I said "No, that is not what I said!" These companies take from the rich and ignore anyone trying to use their home warranty! They service all non-home warranty customers first. After talking to the rude woman on the phone I decided to check their reviews, and glad I did! If you want to consider these less than adequate and unprofessional people to do work for you, please at least review the complaints they have against them with the BBB. I am glad we ended up going with a different company because now, I have cold air conditioning running in the house. Same day mind you!!
