| - Here I am again... at the wonderful Fleur De Lys!!!
AGH!! SO YUMS!
The hostesses were very delightful. I had my reservation set at 6:45pm but my BFF and I were running super late-- especially because we were all the way at Las Vegas Convention Center and we had to monorail it al the way from there to MGM and then TRAM from Excalibur to Mandalay Bay. Oh, the trouble we go through to get to this yummy restaurant on our little, tiny transportation budget, but soooo worth it and so worth my aching feet! They seated us as soon as we got there and didn't mind our late-coming because we called in ahead, just trying to be courteous :)
Servers were all wonderful and so handsome ;)
We did not get any such snobby service after presenting our $50 gift certificate from restaurant.com, which I was scared of. They were all still so wonderful. The impeccable service and the delicious food will have me coming back for more! I will be coming back actually, I purposely bought 2 GC for this place ;).
1. Bread and Butter
-Bread was still cold, butter wasn't as spreadable but it's fine.. I'm not a bread person anyway.
2. Amuse Bouche
-Same as last time, Tempura Cod & Potato Salad yumsss :)
3. Truffled Onion Soup
-ALL FOR MYSELF MWAHAHAHHAHAH MMMMMMMMM Taste like heaven
4. Chorizo wrapped Suzuki Sea Bass
- The chorizo wrapper was kind of tough and salty, the fish was cooked nicely but wasn't as soft as I hoped but this was still very big and meaty. Delicious
5. BFF had the Braised Veal and Yukon Potato Ravioli
-Had a bite and I thought it was delicious!! Very comforting! I will order next time!
6. Braised Beef Short Ribs
-Soooo tender and sooo flavorful
7. Prime Filet Mignon
- BFF ordered this because I recommended it. I could tell from the look on her face that this was probably the best dish she's ever had in her life, just like how this was THE best filet mignon I've ever had in life.. .... my BFF loves me ;)
8. Passionfruit Sorbet with Tapioca in Coconut Soup with Freeze Dried berries
-Compliments by the chef!! YES, NICE!! This was sooo yummy. Passionfruit Sorbet was SOOOOO TART! It hurt my almost gone canker sore because it was so sour (and I had forgotten I had one until I tasted this), but with the coconut tapioca it was so good.
9. Carrot Cake & Cream Cheese Ice Cream with Pineapple Ice Cream/ Chocolate Souffle with Mocha Ice Cream
- Just as good as last time
10. Petit Fours
- We were too stuffed to try this so this was packed to-go. We tried it the next day and they were still so delicious!!!! Very soft and the flavor was just a hit! The selection of the Petit Fours this time around was so much better than last time because everything still tasted so fresh! Marshmallow just melted in my mouth, the jelly was SOFT (usually I don't like jellies bc it's too chewy) SOO SOO SOFT!
This was all from the Elegance Menu ($89/person)
All together including the $50GC and 18% Gratuity = $182 bucks.
Definitely coming back.
Try to come between 5:30pm - 7:00pm for their 3-Course Prix Fixe. We were trying to come for this one, but we came too late... but then again the $50GC will not work for this one anyway.
