I really have nothing great to say about Dolce other than that it is close to my house. I got a horrible haircut there that they corrected for free with an even worse haircut. By "bad" I mean they cut so many layers in my waist length hair that I now have a shoulder length LOB. It was like... chopped in the back at shoulder length for some reason with the underneath hair being waist length, there was a huge random chunk in the front. The entire thing was a freaking mess. It was so bad that my 45 year old, male, IT co-worker actually noticed enough to say something! This guy wears sweatpants to work...
I recently went to Strut to get a correction haircut which came out great. I will never return to Dolce. It's overpriced for the quality and they have this confusing 1-10 rating system. To me, I have no clue what the difference between a 4 and 7 stylist is when it comes to the results (i.e. how my hair actually looks). It's also packed on the weekends and they seem to allow screaming kids which isn't awesome. I prefer a smaller, more personal salon with a stylist who takes the time to get to know me and gives a meaningful consultation.
It's also super expensive for what you get... a terrible haircut in a noisy salon.
