  • Arrived at dealership Found car we wanted and already had pre-approval from our bank. Sales Offered 2K less than trade in value. (BAD!!) Sales Quoted a price for the new car over 5k above ad price for that exact vin (VERY BAD!!!) After 2 hours we left w/condition we would only continue if mo. Pmt below $400. Received call 3 min after leaving, pmt can be as low as $439 We agreed to return later Returned to the dealership Sales guaranteed they could get me a better interest rate than my bank. (GOOD) I agreed to one credit check (found out later two were pulled without my knowledge or approval) (VERY VERY BAD!!!) Signed docs at the lower rate. Took delivery of car Returned 2 days later Reason for return was to remove MPP. Product was not what I asked for. (FINANCE NOT LISTENING AT TIME OF SALE!!) I was informed that the Interest rate quoted was not obtainable & new docs were required. (VERY BAD!!) Finance dropped the cost of car to keep pmt the same as in original contract. I was told at the time I was getting the absolute lowest price. (????) MPP removed, gap stayed, extended warranty remained. Called next day My bank offered to reduce their interest rate to match dealer. Bank also quoted gap and extended warranty for $2K less Dealer agreed to make changes and I signed papers for third time. (VERY GOOD) Difference in total cost dropped from $35K loan to $30K loan Monthly payments dropped by $45 per month. Two weeks later Dealer failed to pay-off trade-in completely. (UNACCEPTABLE!!!) Bank took $80 from my own account to cover the pay-off. Called dealer to explain situation.... Here's the rub. Day one: First call sent to voice mail. Left message. Second call went to voice mail. No message left. No response. Day two: Third call sent to voice mail. Left message. Fourth call went to voice mail. No message left. No response. Wrote email from dealer website asking for a call. Day three: Received call, explained situation, they said they would call by end of day. No return call (I see a pattern?) Day four: Sixth call was to store mgr. He said he would get on it right away Received call from mgr informing me a solution is coming and to expect a call within the hour. Six hours passed, so I called again...(seventh call) Mgr acted surprised and tried to transfer me to correct person. I was transferred to front desk. I was again transferred back to Mgr. Third transfer ended with the phone call being disconnected. Eighth call was to front desk requesting a phone call from responsible party. Finally spoke to person who would help. A check is being cut and can be picked-up after the weekend. Based on my shopping experience... 1. low ball quote on trade-in 2. Overpriced quote on new car (I know how to navigate a website on my phone!) 3. lied about only one credit inquiry 4. lied about lowest price offered 5. sold me the wrong warranty product 6. overpriced Gap and Extended warranties 7. no service after the sale (seven calls to get finance help) Overall Recommendation: Watch out! You can get a reasonable deal, you just need to pay close attention and do your research. They are very nice and friendly but they will take advantage of you in a heartbeat if you don't prepare.
