  • TL;DR You'll be glad you used them; don't wait! Ok, for my review. I used the Yelp app to contact several appliance repair companies at once. It's a pretty slick feature. That way you don't have to open multiple messages. You simply type up your original question/message and then select a few others you'd like to hear from and just like that you've contacted multiple vendors. Just watch your messages in Yelp and you should start hearing back from them (all you selected) fairly quickly. Elite Appliance got back to me within 15 mins. Ariana set up an appt time via messages in Yelp, which I preferred, and Jay was assigned our repair. There were several appt options and even one for the NEXT day, woohoo!! Jay called about 20 mins before his arrival time to make sure I would be home and to let me know he was on his way. I always appreciate a call ahead. When Jay arrived he was in a clean and tidy Elite Appliance uniform, which I appreciated. Anyway, Jay spent about a half an hour or so working on our freestanding ice maker. Freestanding ice makers are notorious for breaking down, they are such a hassle and EXPENSIVE to repair!! I wasn't looking forward to this bill. Jay noticed there was HOT water in the lines to the refrigerator and the ice maker. I called my plumber and he said he would come out in a few hours. Jay said it seemed to be a sensor issue but before he started throwing new parts at it to have the plumber figure out why the water is hot. After the water issue was handled (a bad sensor in my instant hot water) my husband restarted the machine (it took a few tries) and the ice maker started making ice again!!! Hallelujah! We made sure it ran 2 cycles before calling it good. Jay called me to check in and see how it was going. We got to tell him the good news and also tell him how much we truly appreciate his honesty and hard work. Jay is representing Elite Appliance very well and I hope you're lucky enough to get him for your service call. But if you don't, I'm sure the other techs are just as qualified. In the end all we owed was for the service call of $50. I cannot say enough about how easy the appt process was, how great the service Jay performed and I will definitely recommend Elite Appliance Repair to everyone I know!
