This garden has a really strict policy on taking taking pictures. They need to be more clear on what is okay and what's not. I brought my whole family on a nice day to the garden hoping to take some nice pictures. I was dressed in one of my traditional dress when I walked in. They asked us if we were doing a photoshoot. We told them no because we're not professional or anything. We only had our cells phone and a Nikon that my cousin was using for school. They asked if we were taking pictures together or one person. We told them just family pictures. She told us that we couldn't wear the traditional dress because it would be like a photo shoot. I told her oh I brought clothes to change out and asked if it'll be okay than. She said yea. So we changed out.
When we walked in we saw people with their cameras taking pictures and everything. We were a little confused. But we put it to the side and just used our cellphones. I guess they were keeping an eye on us because when we were snapping pictures of our little cousins, they stopped us and say that was a photoshoot. They said that if we wanted to take pictures we needed to pay 150. We were told that we were able to get a refund, but when we got back to the front a lady said they don't do refunds. My family was really upset when literally we were told 3 mins ago. After some
Arguing they gave us the refund and a lady threaten to call the authority on us.
This was truly a disappointing experience. We went to Indian Steele Park, which was free and 10 times as big as that "garden". We could take all the pictures we want.
This garden should of just had a sign saying "NO PHOTO AT ALL" cameras and cellphones. They need to be more specific on the DO AND DON'T. If we knew that it was NO PICTURES at all we would of never went in.
