I stayed in the 111 Davisville building from March 2015 to August 2016.
The building is old and the were a number of problems with water and heat shutdowns. There is always something going on around the building that signals ongoing maintenance.
For about a whole year (April 2015 - March 2016), the swimming pool was under construction/renovation and not useable. They finally reopened the pool this summer and it is a nice swimming pool, but it should not take one year to renovate!
Similar thing for the building entrance. They put the entire front entrance under renovation for about 6 months over the past year. Half the entrances in to the building were blocked off and it was an ugly sight. Most days during this "6 month renovation", you go in and out of the building and see absolutely no work being done in the fenced off area.
There was heat outage and water outage at some point during the middle of winter. I also experienced a rodents problem during my stay. It was taken care of quickly but should not have been a problem in the first place. Terrible. TERRIBLE.
The super is a decent guy and is responsive, but building management office, overall maintenance budget and overall management is terrible. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE.
The rent at the building is cheap and the newly renovated swimming pool is nice, but thats only a little bit of good against a lot of bad.
Overall: 1.0 / 5.0
