Went last month to have my hair colored and cut. When I called to make the appointment I told the lady that my hair was previously colored a purplish red and I had about an inch of dirty blonde roots that I was trying to get back to. She told me that it was no problem, booked me for cut, color and highlight and told me it would be a 2 hour appointment. Ok, no problem. Well after spending almost 5 hours there I was less than pleased. Several times my stylist would go back and ask another stylist what do you think I should do? After my hair was colored she cut it. I told her I part my hair in the middle and when she parted it I could tell it was not right, as my head is sensitive and it was hurting. I ended up parting it myself and she tells me well that isn't in the middle. Ok, it is to me, but its where it is always parted so that's all that matters. She spends 10 minutes tops cutting my hair. I have very thick hair and it is very hard to cut. After she dried my hair I couldn't tell the difference. It was just as dark as before and mentioned this. She became very upset and said its 100x lighter its going to take many sessions. I had her re trim several areas that looked very uneven. And I pointed out that you could still see a line where my roots were. She said well come back next week and for $50 we will just put a bunch more highlights in. Umm no. I just spent $250 for this, I'm not happy and I'm telling you that and your fix is to come back and spend more money?? I just wanted to get out of there, so I paid and left. I came home and my roommate was like where have you been all day? I thought you were getting your hair done. That's how dark it still was, you couldn't tell! I reached out to the ulta contact on my receipt, but never heard back. That was an expensive lesson- should have read the reviews first!
