| - I love people that have unreasonable love and who want to share it with others.
In the case of the Velvet Tango Room, we have people who have unreasonable love for things that are old-fashioned, high-quality, hand-crafted and authentic.
Good:
* Don't worry if you don't know about pisco liquor, or haven't a clue about the "Hemingway daquiri". Ask about any drink, and any of the lovely bartenders will tell you about them at length. They'll recommend their favorite, and prescribe what will suit your taste buds.
* My favorite drinks are the aforementioned pisco sours, Hemingway daquiri (unlike any other slushy, sweet daquiri you've ever had), and the Lady in Pink. The root beer float with bourbon is delicious.
* The bar itself is a sweet little out of the way place, between Tremont and West Side Market, decked out to be wooden and old-fashioned.
* Live music on the weekends that isn't so loud that you can't be heard.. A nice change from Bier Market (much as I like that place)
Bad:
* Drinks are not cheap here - $15 each the last time I went, so don't come here to liquor up, that's not the point. But for $15, it's a damn good drink to be sipped slowly and savored.
