It's a park....a landfill site....a bird sanctuary....and a blessing. Early morning rides bring sightings of bunnies, snakes, blue herons....a recent late evening ride brought my first ever coyote encounter (it ran away as soon as it saw me.) Cycling is the best way, but walking is an excellent alternative. The terrain changes by the week, sometimes by the day, from frozen winter tundra to spring awakenings, to summer's bountiful splendour. My favourite place in Toronto, and it has been for decades. You can park your car at the entrance, and remember....NO PETS....so leave them at home.
