  • Finally! Menchies has arrived and opened. While I've been to the Rutherford Marketplace awaiting for the doors to open, I've been to Aroma Espresso Bar. Now this place would make it a tough call between the 2 when I'm in this area. 3.5 *Star* Plenty of seating outside and inside decked out in cutesy bright Frozen Yogurty atmosphere, it would be a nice hangout spot while enjoying your self-made Froyo($0.49/oz) combination. You can upgrade to a Waffle Cup for an additional $1.00. 12 selections of flavours at the Yogurt Bar and at the same time you can get a mix of some of the flavours if they are side-by-side. Next is the Snackage such as Jimnies, Yogurt chips, Choco Chips, Gummies, etc... Then on to Chill such as Apple Cinnamon, Kiwi, Strawberry, Blueberry, etc... Last but not least is 4 syrups/fudges to drizzle on top. I got a $8.20 Mix Master on my first visit however as a Home Chef this initial attempt disappointed me as my combination plate design is a FAIL. I will be back to aim for perfection. Each of the flavours I got (Mocha&Choco Mint Mix, Peach Sorbet, Island Mix, Raspberry Tart) each had a sharp distinct taste and light flavours that is very refreshing. The texture is inbetween Slushy and Ice Cream but I guess this is a much healthier choice and even Kosher friendly with some specific flavours. Since it's self-serve, there can be messes made with all those toppings and such which was a bit inconvenient but the server there was always on the job sweeping and cleaning. Just watch out for the mess outside the door, she can't be everywhere cleaning everything now. I guess that's the only negative thing that I had to walk around inside and out. I look forward to more input from you guys. Another dessert place is always great and I'm sure this will be a place that makes people happy. They close 11 pm most nights except Fri/Sat which is Midnight.
