The owners have changed in September 2013, but at least one of the familiar faces are still around. The place has definitely changed to match the more diverse clientele, community, and more trendy hairstyles.
I didn't make an appointment thinking that a walk in on a Friday evening would be okay. They were packed with customers and I needed to wait for about 40 minutes. Next time I'll make an appointment.
The guy cutting my hair was friendly and carried conversation about politics, education, and Toronto's communities very well.
A standard haircut will cost $16. My only qualm was that I opted to get a shave while there thinking that I'd have a warm foam & straight razor shave (I feel it gives a cleaner, closer shave) but an electric shaver was used. It just doesn't give the same cut or feel.
I'd got back but would probably opt to do the wet shave myself.
