Last evening's dinner at this restaurant was actually much better than I had anticipated. Although I like Emeril's persona his restaurants have rarely stood out in my dining experiences. So my expectations were low.
The Blue Points were fresh and the accompanying condiments added a wonderful zest.
The beet salad with cheese and walnuts, sprinkled with greens was delightful.
The pecan coated redfish with grits was a hearty portion and prepared in the time honored creole style.
My dining companion was very happy with the Mahi Mahi.
Service was friendly and prompt.
One item that irked me was how the crackers were served with the oysters: in those little plastic package that may go well in a low price establishment but not when you are paying $3 an oyster. Small things matter
