  • Do yourself a favor and listen to the bad reviews. I didn't and I learned the hard way. I took my car in for starting problems. Sometimes it would start no problem, and other times it needed to be jumped to start, but it started every time and once it started it had no problems. Something seemed to be draining the battery so I took it to Pat's because of all the good reviews and ignored the bad. I drove my car there (It started fine) and left it; end of the day I still have not heard from Pat's so I call and I'm told they have it hooked up to the machine and are testing it, to give them a couple of hours and they will call me back. Couple hours later, still have not heard from them but I give it another hour or so before I call when I call I am told it has something to do with the ignition and they are trying to narrow it down so if they do not call me by 6pm they will call me by 9am the next day. 9am came and went and still no call from Pat's, so before I call I drive by and see my car sitting in front of the work area all closed up not being worked on so I call to find out an update. The person says they have it narrowed to 2 modules and a bunch of mumbo jumbo that he knew I wouldn't understand, but now I know he had no idea what he was talking about. At the end of our conversation he said it needed to be taken to the dealer and he wasn't charging me for diagnosis (He never gave me one anyway) to give him an hour or two to put it all back together?? Im thinking I just drove by and my car wasn't even being worked on so by this time I was so confused and had no faith in them. After telling my husband what was going on, he said I hope they didn't make our car worse because I've lost all trust in them. I show up to pick up my car a couple hours later and then and only then do they inform me that my car isn't starting at all now and hasn't been since the day prior. Then Jeff looks me in my eyes and tells me whatever the problem is probaby just finally took full effect. What? When I dropped my car off it was at least starting with a jump and now after they look at it it won't even crank? I had talked to Justin at least 3 times and my husband talked to him once since dropping it off and no one ever mentioned that our car wasn't starting at all anymore, this was the first we had heard this. To top it all off they have no diagnosis for me, he tells me that they won't charge me after all and since it isn't starting we have to have it towed. We are so angry at this point and know our car should not be in worse condition then when we dropped it off, at the very least it should be in the same working condition as it was when we dropped it off. Now we know why no one ever called us to offer any updates or when they promised to call, because they were probably hoping they could fix their mistake without us ever knowing what happened. When we first dropped it off, Justin made sure we knew that if we didn't have the work done there or right away that we would be responsible for a $90 diagnosis fee and now they were waiving it? We regret taking it to Pat's because now we are out of a car for 2 weeks till we can get it to someone who knows what they are doing. Having just moved here and with no family or friends here, I am supposed to walk in 40 degree weather to take my son to school with a 4 year old, a 3 year old, and a 1 year old so that my husband can drive our second car to work and make it there by 530am? Pat's didn't even offer an apology for what they did to our car and has no conscience or empathy for the families they are affecting by not admitting that they don't know how to fix certain issues, admitting their mistakes, or offering some sort of reparation for their wrong doing. These are not the type of people you want to do business with. Please don't make the same mistake we did. Be very weary if you decide to leave your car there cuz you might find yourself in the same situation as us and Pat's will do nothing but place the blame elsewhere.
