  • Dropped in after just getting into town in the middle of an afternoon. No wait, seated promptly. Started with guacamole. It was, eh, not my thing. It was sweet tasting thanks to some pomegranate seeds which they decided to include for some odd reason. The guac was not prepared properly. I get wanting nice chunks of avocado but this had the consistency of a fruit salad instead of a dip...wouldn't even stay on the stale chips. All that said, I went with the carnitas tacos and they were absolutely AMAZING. Each ingredient played so well with one another and the pork was cooked to perfection. Truly one of the best tacos I've ever eaten. Service was slow but friendly. Margaritas were delicious and we caught happy hour (50% off drinks) which made them taste that much better! Would definitely recommend Barrio but wouldn't recommend their version of guac.
