Cloverdale is somewhat depressing. The selection of stores is poor, especially since Target left. I'm sure many tenants on the north side were depending on the foot traffic target would generate. As far as I know they haven't managed to find a new anchor tenant on that side. Metro holds down the fort on the south side.
During the day it is mostly seniors and teenagers. A somewhat interesting dichotomy. The MTO is there which is convenient.
In general if we need to go to a real mall we would just go to Sherway which is nearby. Going to Cloverdale is a mission of necessity. But Sherway we can go just for fun and with no intended need to purchase. Cloverdale isn't nice. It doesn't feel like a place where you can spend the day with the family.
