| - One of the new places to try an amazing hot pot. The fact that they open from 5 pm-12 am is actually a plus, since it means that everyone in the kitchen is not haggard and the meats are all fresh. The service is acceptable, still a little rough I guess. Just a few things, my mushroom soup base, which my mom also ordered took about 15 mins after everyone in our table start eating. So they were almost done while my soup barely makes bubble. Our server didn't explain on how things are done in their establishment. For example, the conveyor belt, how to turn on the individual stoves and also what is in the menu, or ask at least if this is our first time or are we a returning customer. It would've made the experience a little more better. Also, the bacon wrapped enoki mushrooms of my boy friend ordered when our server was pitching the daily specials at the start of the meal arrived at the end of the meal, with the enoki burnt and the bacon not all the way cook. And this man, eats a lot of bacon. Daily specials, unless you actually have to harvest or kill a live animal should be part as the appetizer experience, to tease the taste buds on the next gastronomical adventure that would follow, not present it when the person is full and almost done with their meal.
All in all, it was an experience, I can't really say if it's good or bad and I do understand that they have a little bit more refinement to do. The soups though were perfection, yes they are bland at first but that's what the condiment/sauce/spice bar in the middle of the restaurant is for, to create your own flavors and make the experience and your imagination tingle for a little while. I will be back and I do hope the next time, I could say it is beyond 5 stars.
