We have had a horrible experience with Ford Peoria's service department. We bought our truck with Drew (who we love, he is an awesome part of their sales team) two months ago. We brought it in to get an oil change and to get the dust rings checked out on our front axel. Johnny Haines, our service rep took a look at the dust rings and questioned if they were under warranty. He checked with warranty and found out they were but continued to argue with us if we would be able to get a rental. After he made a few more calls he told us he sent a request to enterprise for us to receive a rental. We drove to enterprise and when we asked for the rental there was nothing in the system for us. Enterprise then called the service department and asked them to put in request for a rental.
Johnny was very hard to reach this whole experience. He gave us a call five days after we dropped it off (we are aware of the New Year holiday so no harm there) and said we could pick it up that day sometime after 5pm. We received another call the same day that said they ordered the wrong part and that the truck wouldn't be done until the following day. He said he would renew our rental until then. The morning of the day we were suppose to pick it up, now six days later, Johnny gave us a call and said that the truck was finished but we needed to buy two new batteries. We dropped the truck off with it having no battery problems, started as it should with no dimming lights.
When we rent to return the rental they checked the system and there was no extension. In their system, we had the rental for two day and the four day extension was missing. Which means we would be responsible. The enterprise gentlemen gave us a ride back to Ford Peoria and spoke with Johnny. Who was as we walked in, putting in the rental extension.
We went and put our things from the rental back into our truck, and noticed that not only was is not washed (which was in the instructions to do so from day one) but that there was grease on the carpet of the driver side floor.
Finally, we have our truck back. She started just fine without any new batteries. Hopefully there will be no future reasons we need to go back and deal with Johnny's persona or Ford Peoria's Service Department.
BUT THANK YOU to Drew Pyrum for trying to help in anyway possible even though it was outside your department! We appreciate you.
