Yeeeeaaaaa.....about that outside. I agree with a yelper who said it looks like a 1970's rural strip joint! Once you go in, it is cozy and warm. I received a very genuine, warm greeting by the hostess. The restaurant reminded me of when we used to go out to "fancy" (kid lingo for fine dining) restaurants as a child in New York. The drinks were traditional and made well.
One thing that was perplexing and contributed to the 4 and not a 5 was the cheese wiz cheese and packaged crackers they put on the table prior to the meal (not sure why that was happening). Our meals came and everything looked yummy! I ordered the rib eye (med rare) and salmon (medium) with baked potato and cream spinach. If you haven't tried putting cream spinach on a baked potato, just know it is FABULOUS!! Steak was flavorful and you can tell they used and open flame.
It was fairly clean on the inside, thought it could be a tad cleaner. Maybe I was biased after seeing the outside, maybe I just felt dirty walking in. lol.
All in All, good food, fair price, quant environment and good service. Having all of these categories checked is better to me than having excellent service and crappy food or excellent food and horrible service. I will definitely be back and I will definitely recommend this place.
