I was pleasantly surprised by my stay here. I was here for a conference and both the conference hotels were booked and Springhill had solid rates. It is probably about a half mile from "downtown" which really isn't bad. It was also a $10 uber trip from the airport. They do have a shuttle which I didn't know about until after, but it needs to be requested.
All the front desk staff I interacted with were very friendly. They held my luggage for me both times I needed it, even after check out.
My room (602) was very spacious with not a half bad view as far as views go in Phoenix. The bed and pillows were comfy, water pressure great and spaciousness of the room fantastic, more than I needed. Overall, I thought it was a great room. The carpets may need a little love, but overall very good.
The breakfast is just kinda ok, but very few free hotel breakfasts are Michelin star quality so take that for what it's worth, I just stuck with fruit. But, I do like that they had coffee available 24/7 as well as an awesome bouquet of lollipops at the front desk.
Overall, a pretty nice place to stay that is just a bit off the beaten path.
