I had to stay the weekend for work so I wanted a simple divey place near my hotel to wind down the week - but some of the nearby dives were pretty sketch. This place was on the radar, but as it turns out, was a pleasant surprise and really not that divey. It's big, cheery and kinda feels like a festive ski lodge, full of people of all ages and backgrounds.
The staff was friendly and conversational, as were the fellow patrons. I did go upstairs and it seemed a good place to meet friends in a living-room like scene, but the downstairs was cool as well, with a big round bar - kinda of like Camelot - where you could people watch and chat with those around you - not just stare at a wall.
I didn't eat but did take advantage of their wallet friendly drinks. Overall, I'd not be disappointed if the Imperial was in my neighborhood.
