  • I bought 4 new tires about 6 months ago. We paid extra for the tire warranty for no charge fixes/replacements (they charge $20 to fix a flat, crazy!). Had a flat so we went in at about 7 pm on a Monday evening. No other customers. We waited 1.5 hours for them to fix one flat! It took the tech half an hour just to get to our truck into the bay, then another 45 minutes to fix a simple flat. He was incredibly slow. The clerk then sold us 2 wiper blades for $15 each w install, way over priced but we needed them. When we went to check out, she tried to charge me for the tire repair too, even though she said it was covered when they took the truck in. She adjusted the price after I complained. I regret having bought the tires from Pep Boys to begin with. The set of 4 tires were over $850. Their service is horrible. The employees all seem to be in slow mode, very un-enthused. They have employee targeted signs all over the bays to pressure them into meeting sales goals, despite the fact they have no ability to answer any questions specific to their products. Go somewhere else where else you can be treated like a real customer.
