  • I really wish I could give this place zero stars as it was really that bad. I have not given out a one star review until now so that should indicate how terrible this experience was. I bought the GroupOn deal for myself and my cousin for a one hour massage and booked a time slot for both of us at 6:30 PM and made it clear that we want it to start and end at the same time. Scheduling the appointment was so difficult to begin with because the lady (jenny) just kept saying dates and times were not available (I was booking over 3 weeks in advance). I thought that this place must be popular since it was booked so much in advance. Anyways... After many emails going back and forth, we finally got a booking for both of us at the 6:30 time slot... or so I thought we did. I read a review saying that a customer went in and had to wait a considerable amount of time before getting in for their massage, so I thought I'd be proactive and just call in some hours before getting there for a confirmation. When I called, it was Jenny again who picked up (same person who booked the time slots via email). I told her I just wanted to make sure everything was okay with the booking and time slot. She tells me "Oh, I cannot do two people anymore, only one today, next one other week." Seriously? What is the point of booking 3 weeks in advance? I was quite annoyed and told her about the tight schedule we were on. If there was something that came up for whatever reason, the onus should obviously be on them to inform the customer of the change but she clearly didn't see it that way or care much. She said she'll call me back and does so about half an hour later and says that she can do the first massage at 6:30 and the second one at 7:00 pm. This was not ideal but I didn't have much choice so I accepted and informed my cousin to arrive for the 7PM instead of us going there together in one car. So here is where the real issues begin... I arrive for my appointment right on time at 6:30 pm exact. I walk in and Jenny is there at the front desk and says "I can actually do both of you at the same time, so where is your cousin?" She expects that she can instantaneously change booking times and everyone can automatically go by that. I called my cousin but he already planned for the 7PM so said can't make it earlier now. After telling Jenny this, she says "well, then I can't give him the full hour, I will only give him 30 minutes". SERIOUSLY? After arguing with her on how that is unbelievably unfair, she agrees to giving us both the one hour that we paid for. The massage itself was okay, I would rate the massage by itself 2.5 stars out of 5. The masseuse applied so much pressure at some points and I had to keep telling her that it was too hard and she just kept applying the same pressure. The massage didn't even last the full one hour. Both of ours lasted about 45 minutes instead. And now the worst part... At the end, as expected, she asked us to pay tax on the deal. At the same time, she said we had to pay mandatory tips on the regular full price of the massage. She was forcing us to pay a tip and her attitude was so aggressive. There was a full fledged argument here and some of her arguments were: 1) "GroupOn takes 50% of our money on the deal" My response: No one forced you to list there. 2) "This is a service and you have to pay tip like at a restaurant" My response: No, I don't have to pay tip at all restaurants or other massage places that I've been to. I will happily pay tips when I feel satisfied with my service and I did not feel satisfied here. 3) "Other massage places aren't professional that is why they don't make you pay for tips" My response: ha ha ha After arguing with her for 10 minutes, I left without paying a tip and highly urge everyone to avoid this place. Oh, one more BIG one... The GroupOn deal was for an RMT massage with receipt. However, the masseuse was NOT an RMT and they said that all of the masseuse aren't so my cousin and I could not get the receipt!! Why did I pay for an RMT massage then?! I could write even more details on how terrible this experience was but I think that should be sufficient to get the idea to stay away from this place.
