| - Yoga Sanctuary has been my home studio since last March. Initially, I went to the Henderson location but since it has closed have found myself going exclusively to the west-side studio on Sahara. I really love the quiet, relaxing, peaceful, and zen quality of this place. I am still new to yoga and yet have found some of the most amazing yogis teaching right here, including Rachael Sellars, MJ, Celene Go, and Jennifer Knox. Celene is wonderful and encouraging. It is nice to go to a yoga studio that feels calming and peaceful. It does not feel competitive here, and I like that very much. No forced hot yoga here, and I'm relieved. I've tried other studios that have more of a gym feel to them. Not my thing.
This studio brought Kino MacGregor for a 3-day workshop last October, and that has been one of the more inspiring, eventful, and memorable experiences I've had since beginning my yoga journey last February. That experience encouraged me to keep going and led me to a more internal spiritual experience in the practice. It has also encouraged me to practice 6 days a week, something I would not have imagined when I started, as my primary athletic endeavor has always been tennis.
Since Jennifer Knox started at Yoga Sanctuary over a month ago, I've had some of the most challenging and inspiring classes. You will sweat! You will have that internal fire burning. What an awesome instructor! I just had ear surgery, so it's killing me to miss Jen's classes for a couple weeks, while I heal from surgery. I don't ever want to miss her classes, because I'm really learning, growing, and stretching as a student of yoga. I hope Jennifer adds more classes at Yoga Sanctuary. I started with M.J.'s beginner yoga classes, and she is the BEST. Great teacher. Great technician. Very encouraging. Yoga Sanctuary is just a great place to be. Their front-desk staff are super nice and friendly: thanks Caroline and Susan. You guys are great!
