  • Please be aware that the Smoothie King on Indian School is one of the most unprofessional and disgusting establishments I have dealt with in a long time. Besides the fact that the place is a mess for all customers to see, the owner and manager are about as rude and unprofessional as they come. I have been a member of the Arcadia community almost my entire life and take pride in supporting our local small businesses, but the way the owner and manager treat their customers and employees is borderline harassment. If I had a young teenager or adult looking for a job I would advise them to STAY AWAY from Smoothie King. The owner blatantly belittles and humiliates his hard-working employees. I heard through the grapevine that one of the employees was robbed at gunpoint recently and the owner did not so much as check on his employee and then had him return to work the following night to work alone again. The fact that the owner and manager completely disregard their employees safety is unfathomable. I cannot even begin to imagine what it would be like to have a gun waved in my face and then not be supported by my supervisor and owner. Besides the fact that they do not regard safety they openly curse and use profanity in front of guests, sometimes in regards to an employee. I could not believe my ears when I heard some of the comments made without any realization that I, a guest, was standing nearby. Please do not continue to support this local business. There are many other choices of smoothies in the area. In fact, McDonald's makes a much better smoothie that the so-called "Smoothie King."
