| - The custard and ice cream are great, four or five stars. This location, at least on the days I've gone, is also a little less crazy busy than the big neon stand out on Pearl Road and it's a bit shorter of a drive for me. I also like that the different locations offer different flavors on the same day, so if you don't like what's planned for one place you can go to a different location and get a flavor you like better, without sacrificing quality.
However, this Lorain Road building is drab and nondescript compared to Pearl Road. It's a little gray box in the middle of a residential neighborhood, with no neon, no cute signage, and there is very little outdoor seating. The parking lot is also quite small and the staff seem to be a little slower on the draw than the folks at the Pearl Road stand. At least once we've received the wrong flavor in our order (hard to tell because chocolate and the flavor we ordered, chocolate with stuff in it, look the same in the scoop).
If I wanted a quick stop for ice cream/ yogurt, or wanted to get the flavor that was available at this location, I'd go here. But if I was taking someone out for the full East Coast Custard experience, I'd go to Pearl Road for the atmosphere, bigger menu and more efficient service.
