This theater is not my first choice movie destination -- it's insanely overpriced and often super crowded. However, they do occasionally play indie and limited release movies, or friends arrange to see movies here, so I come once in awhile.
Ticket prices are clearly highway robbery. When seeing a movie costs $10 to $12, I have to wonder if it's worth seeing because I could probably buy it cheaper on DVD in a few months. The theaters themselves seem relatively clean -- your feet won't get stuck to the floor here. VIP seats are available for big release movies, which I've never used but a few friends have enjoyed the convenience. Paying extra for tickets here will never be my thing, obviously.
A few pros: Free refills on drinks, and you can butter and salt your own popcorn. I'm also told they sell alcohol here, but that's never been obvious to me.
Eh. There are better theaters in the city, but this will do once in awhile. Still keeping my fingers crossed that Pittsburgh opens an Alamo Drafthouse someday.
