  • Never again. My wife and I have lived in the area for a few years and have been to Patty's countless times. The produce, for the most part, has been good. No complaints there. However, one bad experience has me perfectly content with the fact that I'll be buying my veggies elsewhere from now on. Upon entering, one of the employees had a cigarette dangling from his mouth, pluming smoke all over the shop. Even worse, this employee was stocking veggies while leaning over the products with his long ash ready to fall on top of the food. It smelled like a Smoker Friendly more than it did a farmers market. Additionally, no matter how highly you think of your product, produce still needs examined before purchasing. I listened to another employee scold two customers for picking up the fruit prior to purchasing. The customers were simply examining (not squeezing) the product but were instructed that squeezing is not permitted and that all the produce is fine. I'll determine what is acceptable to spend MY money on and will do so moving forward at a non-smoking farmers market.
