  • When in Vegas... indulge!!!! The nights in Vegas can be dirty and out of control. But even if it's not, there's no other way that I would want to decompress, unwind, and detox than to spend my afternoon at the spa. No matter what my agenda is for my Vegas visit, Qua spa is an absolute must. Sure it's going to cost some dinero -- but it's definitely worth it. If you want to save some money, you can buy Spa Finder gift cards from Costco before your trip - you get 2 -$50 gift cards for $79.99 - so save 20% by planning ahead. I usually get a 50 minute classic massage. It's $165 on the weekday and $175 from Friday-Sunday. Tipping the "artisan" or masseuse a minimum of 20% is customary, but tipping is always a personal decision. I usually like to go in about a hour and half before my scheduled massage to unwind in their Roman baths, after all, I am paying to feel pampered. When you check-in, you're escorted to a locker where a terry robe and pair of shower sandals await you. My first stop? The Roman baths. There are three different water temperatures (hot, warm, cold) but it's not the water that has me relaxing here for hours. The best thing about the Roman baths are the heated stone recliners. It's so easy to fall asleep while listening to the waterfall and breathing in the aroma of the peppermint oil infused, ice-cold towel over my eyes. Refreshing and soothing, it's my favorite place to unwind. Before my massage, I walk over to their herbal steam room to loosen up my muscles. It's spacious and dark inside, perfect for laying down or stretching out with some yoga moves (although the yoga moves are better if you're alone in there). Ten minutes before my massage, I wait in the tea room while sipping on hot tea and reading a magazine. After my massage, I relax in their whirlpool hot tub. It's large enough that you have your own space and since I sometimes go European style (completely nude), the bubbles help keep me somewhat concealed in the water. Their showers and vanity area are equipped with mouthwash, lotion, deodorant, q tips, hair brushes, blow dryer, curler, straightener, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and if you ask up at the check-in desk, they'll provide you with a disposable razor. It has almost everything you need to get ready for dinner or a night out. Only suggestion is that you bring your own hair brush. I know that they put them in those UV sanitizer boxes, but there's still hair on the brushes (that freaks me out). Overall -- I love coming to Qua. It's well-kept, clean, luxurious, and relaxing.
