  • I frequently visit Ulta for all my hair products and have always been pleased. I needed my highlights done and a trim so I thought I would give the salon a try.....big mistake! I booked my appointment in store and asked to be booked with someone with the most experience with color as my hair is fine and bleach can be quite damaging. I arrived the next day for my appointment to find out that the person I was booked with had gone home early and had booked me in with someone else. I trusted that they were quite experienced...WRONG!!!!!! I don't even remember her name at this point. I told her to keep an eye on my hair since I've always been told my hair takes color quickly, still she left it on longer than usual, after she rinsed she asked if I would like her to bleach the fine hairs around my hairline, I said sure that would be great. At this point I was back at the washing stations and no mirrors around. As she did this she brushed bleach all the way to the back of my head, putting more bleach on top of where she just removed foils, she kept saying that the color wasn't taking.....finally I had to tell her my head was burning....after washing my hair, and I returned to her station to see what my hair looked like, I was horrified to see ORANGE!!!!!!!!! Needless to say I did not pay for anything that day and was told by another staff member that they were sorry and due to damage on my hair they could not even offer to have another stylist fix my hair because they did not have the proper products to limit further breakage! So I was left on my own to find another salon to have the horrible job fixed! luckily I was able to do so. I contacted head office of ulta to tell them about my experience and they did absolutely NOTHING, a small amount of compensation would have been the least they could have done! I will never use their services for anything again!
