  • I came to purchase the Xbox one halo edition bundle and the 42 inch Samsung TV for $500 during a promotion in August. I was told that they sold out in the first few minutes but that I would be given a rain check. When I asked for an estimate on when I would be contacted I was told by the customer service rep at the front counter that,"even though they have my email and phone number Best Buy will probably not contact me." I asked what the point of the rain check was and the lady told me to just use the website to check the inventory of local stores for when they have both the TV and Xbox in stock and take my rain check in and pick them up. I followed her instructions in addition to continuing to stop into the store and ask if both items were in yet. It is now October and today the gentleman in gaming told me that they would probably never have that specific Xbox in again. I asked what I was supposed to do. That's when he got another lady who may be a manager, I'm not sure.She told me that it's been two months and they will not be honoring the deal, because Best Buy has had alternatives several times in the weeks following that specific promotion to honor rain checks. I'm pretty disappointed not because I can't get that deal but because of this rep's bad attitude and my wasted time. I could have had an Xbox by now, but I was waiting to purchase it from Best Buy. Had I been told from the beginning that I wouldn't get the promo price I would have just bought an Xbox at regular price from Best Buy especially considering I had rewards points. Now my rewards points have expired and I also can't get the promo price. I am a loyal customer and I don't want to be treated by Best Buys employees as if I am just being cheap. I was told something by a company I trust and feel like I've been jerked around.
