This place is all around terrible. Probably the worst hotel experience I've ever had. Almost every aspect was somehow screwed up during my stay here.
Where do I start? I was locked out of my room 4 times. You'd think after the first one or two times they'd make sure I could get in the next time but evidently they didn't think to do that. It's always great when every time you go to your hotel room you have to wait 10 minutes outside for someone to let you in. The person who came didn't even apologize and just handed me a key and walked away. They blamed the card being demagnetized or the fact we had booked two separate reservations but it was the first night I was there and I literally walked from the front desk to the door with the card in my hand after the card was reset.
During breakfast I sat there waiting 15 minutes when I tried to pay for my breakfast with 3 tables in the large breakfast area and several servers. It only ended when I went up to the person just standing there and asked for them to process the payment. By the way breakfast was supposed to be free and I handed the server the coupon; nonetheless, the front desk tried charging my room anyway after I had to "re-checkin". I had to wait at the front desk another 10 minutes while they sorted that out. By the way there is usually one front desk person and a line to talk to them. If you need anything good chance you'll have to wait.
The whole reason I booked the hotel over a cheaper option was because of the pool and hot tub. Take a guess how that went? Both were closed on a beautiful sunny 75 degree day.
The best part of the trip was the alarm was still set for the previous guest at 6am. Nothing like being woken up at 6am when you go to bed at 1am and planned on sleeping late into the morning. When I told the front desk person she smiled/laughed as she apologized. Yea no biggie.
O yea and the toilet ran the whole time I was there. I mentioned this to them three times and even got a "I'll send someone right up to fix it". Do you think someone came up when she said that? Nope - you got it. Incompetence at its finest.
It's funny when you pay $200 a night for a hotel and everything is a total disaster. They refused to give any form of refund on that too when they repeatedly ask "I'm sorry. Is there any way we can do to make up for the inconvenience?"... "o well we can't do that..."
All I ask for a hotel is don't impede me relaxing and doing what I want to do. Somehow this hotel was able to impede just about every aspect of what I wanted to do while staying in Charlotte.
