| - Came here on a Saturday afternoon after seeing how long the wait for a seat was at Deer Garden next door. Still had to wait around 15 minutes or so for our seat but a lot shorter than what it would have been at Deer Garden!
The only complaint I have about my experience here was the seating situation. The waitresses are not very efficient with how they seat people. I came as a group of 3 and there was a group of 2 ahead of us on the waitlist. There was a booth (big enough for 4) that opened up and a small table that seated 2 that was about to open up but the waitresses still gave the group of 2 ahead of us the booth. So we had to wait an extra 5 mins when technically both groups could have been seated around the same time.
The food there was pretty good. Two of us ordered the DIY bowls that came with a free drink, both orders were the milk tea. I can't really describe it, but the milk tea had a nice aroma to it, didn't taste like the average milk tea. On top of the milk tea I ordered the passion fruit juice. It came in a plastic bag, sorta like a koolaid juice bag! I personally found it a bit too sweet, but still enjoyed it nonetheless. The noodles were good, nothing too special in my opinion. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe there is unlimited noodles refills! The amount they gave me was enough for me though. Also I'd like to mention that it was $7.90 during lunch, so cheaper than the DIY bowl at Deer Garden!
One of us ordered one of the noodles from the menu with a tong yum soup base, it was really good! Loved the coconut milk and lemongrass flavours in it. For this particular order the waitress gives you a plate of the things they put into the bowl (picture 2) and asks you if there's anything you don't want. Then they help you put all the ingredients + the noodles into a pot with boiling soup. Also they bring a cart with different toppings you can put into your bowl (e.g onion, garlic, peanuts, peppers, cucumbers, sesame oil, hot sauce, etc.)
I'd also like to mention that the plates on the wall are really cool and adds an aesthetic appeal to the place :-)
Overall a good experience, would definitely come back!
