  • I have never received such HORRIBLE customer service at a Starbucks ever before. I go to Starbucks at least 3-4 times a week and this is the worst experience I have ever had by far. I went to Starbucks location on Christmas Day and I got in line at 3:45 PM I ordered my drink around 10 minutes later and waited a further 10 minutes to come up to the window. Once I was at the window and took another 10 minutes to get ONE hot chocolate. When I asked the cashier for a refund all he stated was a short "why" I told him I had been in line for 30 minutes and he just said "oh" and walked away. He came back and handed me a gift card and said "by the way just so you know it was only 18 minutes." I said "oh since you want to be sassy I'll make sure to comment your Service to your manager". He stated "I'm not being sassy I just figured you should know the truth". He did not account for the fact that I had been in line for over 10 minutes before I even got to the ordering window. The lobby was closed but I wanted to speak to the manager so I tapped on the door and requested that he come out and talk to me. I said the word manager and he pointed to himself and then waved his finger "no" stating that he would not open the door. This is insanely unacceptable and the leadership displayed by the supervisor likely explains the behavior displayed by his employees. This was at 4:15 PM on December 25 at the location at 3175 East Thomas Rd. in Phoenix Arizona. The drive through employee I had the encounter with was a young Caucasian man with blonde hair. There were still employees inside the building but no one answered the phone, I would have much rather discussed this issue with the manager on site than having to reach out to the corporate office, but that was not an option. I reviewed this locations yelp reviews and it seems I am not the only one to receive poor quality customer service. Starbucks is known for its customer service and getting it right every time, it seems this location would benefit from a training session on how to display basic human courtesy.
