  • We recently visited the ER per directions from our doctor for dehydration. Check in was smooth and professional but the ER nurse was less than professional. She was very rude and quick to the point. But that wasn't the real issue with our visit. My fiancé is 14 weeks pregnant and her doctor recommended that we have a ultra sound or a fetal doppler to check the strength of the baby's heartbeat. The nurse responded with "we don't do that here" my fiancé then spoke to the PA and made her request again and he agreed to have this done for her. When the nurse returned with the Doppler she made the statement to my fiancé "don't run out of here crying if I can't find your baby's heartbeat" I'm not a OBGYN nurse so it's not my fault. This is the last thing anyone would expect form a medical professional. She (nurse) needs to find a new career or dig deep and resolve her real issues that she drags to work. I understand this is the busiest ER in the valley but a little human touch and compassion goes a long way.
