Went in around 7:45 pm. It was pretty dark and looked basically closed. The person there told me that it is basically closed which baffled me because yelp said it closes at 10pm. I asked him about the hours and he said very hesitantly that they close at 9pm during winter and because it was a slow day and they have (had?) an event that they are closing early. This was pretty disappointing. Having set hours is a promise with past current and potential customers. But I guess for them having a slow day means they will do whatever they want because it is their business.
Anyway he said that I can get whatever cookies they have out there and he can create a sandwich or I can have a scoop of ice cream. My mom got maple walnut and I got a sandy with vanilla ice cream on chocolate chip cookies with dark chocolate topping. As he made them his long hair front of his face fluttered above my sandwich as if or maybe actually adding natural salt to my food. Yum. Chocolate with salt.
The end result was alright. Pretty hard cookies (I can see they could be good if warm and made to order as they claim they do) and poor ice cream to cookies ratio. There should be way more ice cream. Pretty average ice cream.
Anyway, just an unpleasant encounter and experience for nothing particularly special. Also upset because I know it might have been better. But that's the experience they chose to offer me two hours before their closing time. I guess I had to suffer for their having a slow day. Thanks!
