  • Beautiful views but the food was incredibly disappointing. I wish I could report differently... After scoping out the restaurant week menus, we decided to try the breathtaking views of the LeMont on Mt. Washington. Dining there for $35.15 is a steal compared to their $60 Porterhouse. For half the price our food was half the quality... if that. Let me say the service was stellar and the ambiance, though dated, was lovely. They must have forgot how to cook over the years. J ordered the Filet medallions medium rare. What he received was gray meat, no sear, and purple in the middle. His comment? Looks like I'm hitting McDonald's on the way home. A ordered the swordfish that was cooked well done. Hmm perhaps the dishes were switched? R had the veal and was underwhelmed at his entrĂ©e. Me? Chicken Romano. Broccoli was yellow, not a steamed green. The breaded chicken was mush because it was saturated with something. The potatoes had no seasoning at all. Pass the salt! And my chicken was dry... yet coated in moisture. Dessert was just as lackluster. Who serves a creme Brule that isn't bruled? It looked like last night's leftovers. The strawberry shortcake was coated in a strawberry drizzle that tasted like it was fresh from the container at the grocery store... the one that you put in milk and sundaes. I realize that by offering restaurant week deals, we may not get the LeMont's finest, but we are paying patrons too. And no, we will not be returning. Not even for the view. There are far better restaurants on Mt. Washington who offer views and delicious meals to ALL patrons.
