  • I've now used this shop for two shellac manis and a deluxe pedi. So far, this venue is a total thumbs-up. Vegas Voyager-approved! I've patronized this shop a bit (after consulting with the firm of Google&Yelp), not because I was unhappy with LaBelle, but because it's pretty clear I am going to have make appointments at LaBelle (to get my preferred tech) ... and my nature is just that I am not very diligent when it comes to scheduling hair & nails. This shop, even though it is busy, seems to be able to take walk-ins pretty quickly. As of this writing, I figure to mix it up a bit, using both shops. My recent pedi was awesome. The core service, no neg issues at all. I gave the tech instructions to avoid a certain callus - and she did so; no communication gaps here so far. Copious amounts of lavender scrub & rub were used. The massage during the pedi was as extensive as any I've had anywhere. Up to the knee-caps, no less! A lot of it was spot-on reflexology. This was a full 90 minutes of excellent service ... and at a price of only $38 before tip. Another thing I liked about my pedi ... and something that's not true at a lot of shops ... the pedi station and its controls were perfect! * The buttons on the massage remote control were all "there" - not faded, worn or broken. * The control was actually easy to figure out, nothing that required a magnifying glass or an Egyptologist to decrypt; each button had one word that spoke clearly to what it did. And you don't have to figure out how to 'combine' the buttons to get what you want. Each button, one function, that's it. * There was a little strap/keeper on the one arm of the station under which I tucked the control; no "deep sea fishing" for the control because it's dangling at the end of a long line or caught under something. * The massager itself worked quite well, not dragging and groaning along as if the motor is about to give up the ghost. Very deep and relaxing. I am sure I fell asleep several times -- to the point of snoring. At the end-of-service, at closing time, me still snoozing, they said I could stay overnight, but I would have to clean. I packed up pretty quick! (Actually I had to get on anyway, to get downtown to the Tribal Smoke Shop for my bargain cigs before THEY closed.) It seems to me as though a lot of shops have at least one of these kinds of pedi station problems; the station I rode at this shop had none. And, being very-old-school, I've been thrilled with the ambient music ... mostly classic soft 'beautiful music' instrumental covers, a bit of new-age, some relaxing classical choices, a few soft classic vocals. During my pedi, a few of the tunes I recognized (and remembered so as to mention here): * L'amour Est Bleu (Love Is Blue) (Paul Mariat, 1967) * Music Box Dancer (Frank Mills, 1978) * Lara's Theme (from 'Doctor Zhivago') (Maurice Jarre, 1965). IDK if it's Sirus/XM ... or Pandora ... or someone's MP3 player ... or what ... but I'm diggin' it. So far, this is high-quality work, at reasonable prices, and with short wait. Go for it. UPDATE: I've used NewStyle about a dozen times now ... and I've pretty much settled in here. The service from almost every tech has been quite good. With apologies, I've stopped using LaBelle. LaBelle is just a good bit further from my home ... and NewStyle can handle my walk-in fetish much more readily. But I can still recommend LaBelle's quality of work.
