A crafty take on a cornerstone of American breakfast cuisine that too often becomes tiresome.
The shining star of the menu is of course, their pancakes. And deservingly so. They come out hot, moist and delightfully soft. Soft enough you do not need a knife to cut them, as all good pancakes shouldn't. Aside from the texture, the innovative spins they have in their recipes (Cinnabun, orange creamsicle, PB and ?) tie them together in an extremely palatable and delicious experience. Boyfriend had rocky road, I enjoyed the hazelnut myself. Both were delish!
As it was pushing into lunch time we also ordered a kalua grilled cheese and an eggs benedict. The grilled cheese deserved a 4/5 in terms of tastefulness and innovation. The benedict I found a little bland in flavor and too reminiscent of many other breakfast joints in town.
Service was an A+. Seated at approximately the given wait time, staff was very friendly and attentive.
Altogether a thumbs up!
