| - Wow. After reading these reviews I think I was really unlucky, but my experience in this NextCare location was horrible.
I went on a Saturday night because of a painful ear infection. I had the same thing treated properly at the Shea location two years ago, but unfortunately it was closed at night. I waited for about 1/2 hour, which wasn't bad considering the place was packed. However, after a nurse took my blood pressure they left me waiting in a tiny room for a whole 90 minutes. I complained many times and they kept telling me to wait. I understand they may have had more urgent cases, but I would rather wait in the waiting room in the company of my husband.
In any case, after 90 minutes a doctor came and in less than 30 seconds (literally) looked at my ear and left the room without saying more than 5 words. He didn't tell me what he had diagnosed, and he didn't tell me what he was going to prescribe.
I eventually got a prescription of drops and an oral antibiotic from the staff, filled it at a 24 h pharmacy, and used at home. The pain started to get much worse to the point of being unbearable and I ended up in the ER. To make it short, the people at NextCare had misdiagnosed my infection, and had given me medication that made it much worse. I ended up having to take narcotic pain killers and intravenous antibiotics, and lost four days of work. You would think that ear infections are these clinics' bread and butter, but apparently not.
