| - We frequently go to South Point. The gift shop has a great variety of items from nicely priced wine to handmade soap and everything in between. There are tons of events here, Dance Competitions, Bowling Championships, Equestrian Center Events, Art and Craft Fairs, ect. Great places to grab a bite of chow, Michael's, Big Sur Oyster Bar, Steak n Shake. But what brought us here on a very hot Tuesday evening was a 5 dollar movie. The Cinemark Theater is very nice. Clean, well ran, and very comfy chairs. On Tuesday the movies are all $5.25. We parked which is only difficult because they have so much parking and deciding where to park is overwhelming. Is that even a thing, to be overwhelmed with parking options. LOL.
We walked in and got an eye full of the new slot machines right by the entrance. As we were standing in line for tickets an employee announced that the movie we went to see was sold out. Hey at least we did not have to wait in the line till it was time to pay then to be told. I thought that was courteous. As we embarked on our journey back to the car, very disappointed, we were saved by Katie's Korner Ice Cream Parlor. Oh man, I got a Spa Fresh smoothie, it was all healthy but tasted like a sinful raspberry banana shake. Loved it. My hubby got a Turtle Sundae. BONKERS!! We felt so much better.
