I always have a soft spot for Taiwanese breakfast. Some soybean milk and fan tuan are the best way to start a day. It is rather hard for me to not enjoy them unless they are really badly prepared. (something I have yet to experience)
Yi Mei is one of the few off the strip places that open super early. There were no wait when I arrived before 9 but the restaurant was quickly filled to capacity an hour later.
I think 3.5 stars is a fairly accurate rating for Yi Mei. It is much better than 3 but not quite 4 stars yet. Soybean milk and fan tuan (rice roll) were nicely done. The leek filling pancake was a bit too hard and too oily. Steamed Pork and Vegetable Bun
was generous in portion and quite tasty. Taiwan Style Rice Wrapped was just average.
I was quite happy with the breakfast at Yi Mei. Pretty sure I will return next time and try out more of their other dishes.
