The first time I went to this bar the staff were super friendly, especially the guy at the front door. It's definitely a fun place to go on a weekend. It's pretty small but has a club vibe. It's pretty classy and the atmosphere is really nice.
The happy hour special is half off everything which is nearly impossible to beat downtown. This is definitely a going out at night bar and less of a going out after work bar.
The second time I went was during a happy hour and I was only half impressed. The bartender, female, was really inattentive and kept asking my friends what their names were every time she brought drinks. She was more concerned about flirting with all the male staff sitting at the other end than giving good service. We were the only people in the bar.
I ordered an old fashioned and I got a really horrible concoction of whiskey, half a glass of little cubes of ice, a bloated orange slice (not garnish but legit a fourth of an orange), and about a three centimeters of sugar sitting at the bottom of the glass. I made a comment about the drink and she almost made it seem that I didn't know how an old fashioned was made.
My friend ordered a beer and she said they only had one and another guy (who worked there) wanted it. It was so weird because they had a whole row of it and she was so unaware even with the fridge having a see through door and my friend having to tell her they did in fact have it. The interaction with that bartender ruined the experience to the point that we left.
