Overall, I'd say find someone else!
First, let me say that the guys that moved me were great. Helpful, efficient, good workers.
My issue is with Ed, the owner of the company. He overcharged my credit card and after two attempts at getting in contact with him regarding this, he still has not responded.
My move was scheduled for noon and had been set for a couple weeks. I found out the night before my move that my movers would be an hour late. I was bummed because the main reason I had chosen PDX Student Movers was because they had earlier availability than the less costly other company I was going to book with.
I explained this to Ed and he said that he was sending an extra guy to help with the move before mine and would just have him stay on my move as well. This was a nice gesture. The very least he could do.
While I understand that issues come up with moves; and I was aware that they'd be an hour later than scheduled, my movers show up nearly 3 hours late! This is not acceptable.
And then to overcharge me without reason or response is completely unprofessional.
His emails are unprofessional an unclear as well.
I feel bad for the guys he hires because they have to deal unnecessarily with the brunt this, being the face of the company.
Overall, I'd say find someone else!
