  • James Mennes was our DJ, and we were thrilled with how perfectly he performed at our wedding. He drew rave reviews from all of our guests, not just the happy couple. Our primary concern was running the event on schedule so that we could just enjoy the fruits of our preparation. James met us for coffee to discuss the wedding, build a schedule, and confirmed all of the details that we had not even thought about. His preparation was thorough, on point, and enthusiastic. We gave him a list of songs we like, the must-play songs, and the songs related to certain things like first dances. He hit everything, and with his experience, he played great music all night. As far as music goes, not only did he hit our favorites, he knew which requests were important, and played them. He didn't play any poor requests or music we didn't like. The timing on reception events was like clockwork. He entertained our guests during cocktail hour, organized the wedding party for entrance, hit each and every dance with flair, and as we let the event come to us, he was Johnny On The Spot with updates, questions, clarifications, and action to keep it moving so we had nothing to think about but each other and all of our guests. Simply put, hiring Ray The DJ, who assigned James Mennes, was one of the best decisions we made in preparing for our wedding. I will enthusiastically recommend them to anyone looking for DJ services. Finally, compliments to Brenda and the Ray The DJ staff for excellent customer service with billing and questions.
