  • I scored a heck of deal by finding these guys here on Yelp. The owner of the company I work for decided it was finally time to get read of all the documents he'd been hoarding over the years (we're talking about A LOT of documents). Because of the type of business we are in, much of the information contained in the documents was highly proprietary, hence the reason he was skeptical about getting rid of it so quickly. To be honest, though, for a long time he had us employees here shredding the documents ourselves a little at a time in a small shredder here in the office. Needless to say, this method left a mess on the floor, the office smelling like burnt paper / silicon computer components, paying far too much by the hour for a tedious activity, and the feeling of angst from the monotony accumulated in the air. After planting the seed one day about getting all the papers shredded, the boss-man finally decided to go for it. So of course I immediately began the search for a place that could best serve our one-time shredding need. That's when I ran into these guys with a Yelp coupon. Before purchasing the coupon I called the business with a few logistical questions -- the whens, wheres, and the how-much's -- and the staff was extremely friendly and even connected me to guy named Trevor who I later realized is the owner of the company. We sent a date for a couple weeks out (at my request) to come and pick up the vast mountain of paper we needed to get rid of. The deal was 500 lbs. of paper for $50 (a $75 value at regular price). When the day came to pick up the stuff, a quiet gentleman came in and did the dirty work. We are even located on the second floor of the building and he came and got everything. It took a couple trips but the gentleman gathered it all without any problems. I was even surprised when I attempted to help (since there was quite a bit; maybe even over the 500lb limit) and he encouraged me to relax and that he would take care of it. He was a man of few words but he did his job efficiently and effectively. Now, the office looks incredibly clean. I've never seen this place like this. I'm so glad we went this route with getting all our documents eliminated. As soon as it starts piling up again, which may not be long, I will be giving ShredCo a call. Way to go ShredCo!
