  • Mashion is my fave HongKong bakery in Chinatown. (Probably 'cause I'm a cheapass.) I've come here every time I'm in Chinatown. They have the cheapest buns (mix-match 3 for $1) and they're always super fresh. My faves are the BBQ pork, coconut, and chestnut buns. Curry beef and tuna are pretty good too. They also have steamed buns, egg tarts and sesame balls. The rolled sponge cakes are fantastic too. There's no tax added on so it makes paying really simple. The lady at the cash register is always fast at packing which means there's almost never a line. Yes, the buns are a little smaller than Ding-Dong and the other stores in the area, but the added total of the 3 buns is still more than the 2 or less you would get elsewhere. (If you get the pre-packed assorted buns, it's 8 for 2$!) Such a good deal and so delish. nom!
