  • The food was excellent at Scarpetta in The Cosmopolitan. But, the payment process was not handled well. I had a $200 gift card from The Cosmopolitan but the Scarpetta waiter told me the restaurant "could not verify" the amount. If I chose to use The Cosmopolitan gift card at Scarpetta, I would have to accept receiving less than the card's full dollar value. A gift card from The Cosmopolitan should be the "same as cash" in terms of dollar value especially when the card is used in a restaurant inside The Cosmopolitan itself. I hope to spare other customers of The Cosmopolitan from losing money like this. The lesson is not to use The Cosmopolitan gift card and instead rely only upon cash or credit cards when you are in The Cosmopolitan.
