For my Toronto trip, I visited total four dim sum restaurants; Dragon Boat, Lai Wah Henn, Casa-Imperia, and Crown Princess?
Dragon Boat is a well-known popular dim sum place and even people made a video about it on YouTube. We went before 9 am but there were some people waiting inside of their cars. Around 9 am sharp, there were about more than 20 people waiting in the line already. Comparing to most of restaurants in PA, US., Dragon boat's shrimp dumpling was big but that's it. I am not sure if it is the quality of shrimp or shrimp didn't season well, you can't taste "shrimp-flavor" and dumpling skin is too thick. This also happened to pork dumpling with lack of flavor. BBQ pork puff pastry has multiple thin layers and fluffy but amount of pork is so few and so little that you have to fight so hard to find it. Radish cake has mild bitter taste and watery. They didn't address chicken pasty contains curry on the menu that we don't like so we didn't finish all our orders and left the restaurant with huge disappointments. Perhaps the popularity is because all dim sum costs less than $4 if you pay cash before 11am.
